He's sitting by himself! (Mostly...)

I can't believe it, my little man is sitting by himself already. Okay, it's not for very long but he's doing it all by himself! He tends to lean a little too far forward but it's still really fun to see. I've included a little video of it below. He also just started being able to pass a toy from one hand to the other, I just noticed it today. He's still not rolling over though.

Hmm...in other news, Liam was 16 lbs 12 oz as of last Monday. He's a big boy! I had to take him to the pediatrician because I thought he might have an ear infection but his ears were fine, it looks like he's just teething. I'm hoping that tooth pops through soon, he's been fussier, not sleeping as well, drooling like there's no tomorrow, running a slight fever off and on and tugging on his ears. He's been eating "solids" for a couple weeks now, he's had rice cereal and oatmeal (he definitely likes oatmeal better of the two) and he's had his first veggie--sweet potatoes. I've been trying them for a couple days now but he's still not too sure about those. We give him his reflux medicine in apples now though and he loves those! I think he's got a sweet tooth, uh oh, but it does explain all the sweets I craved when I was pregnant with him. :o)

Here are his 4 mos pictures, finally. Sorry it took me so long, but Ben got sent to Atlanta for work at the last minute so things have been a little crazy around here. There's also a couple other new pictures. There's also a picture of a tornado we saw near here on Sunday. We were up in Castle Rock and saw it, it was close enough for us to be concerned but we did get hailed on.

Liam and his friend, Lily. She's 2 days older and Liam weighs about 2 lbs more than she does, heehee. Aren't they too cute?Is it just me or is he flirting? I think I'm in trouble when he's older.

My camera wasn't working! Aaah!

I am so sad. I went to post pictures today to discover that my camera hasn't been saving the pictures for about 2 weeks. Boo! I can't believe it, I can never get those pictures back, the darn camera. One of the pics I am most upset about is from when we first fed him cereal, at least we got a little video. And at least it wasn't longer before I realized it. I do have a couple new pics for you, and I got a couple taken when he turned 4 mos that I'm picking up on Friday and I'll post those when I can. And I have a couple little videos. One is from when I first fed him cereal, another of him starting to attempt rolling over (I think he has a little ways to go just yet, so far he just looks like he's trying to be superbaby, lol), one of him playing and a little mix of a couple times I got a little bit of a laugh. Laughs are hard to catch on video.

He turned 4 mos on Aug 4 and he is a big boy! His check up was on Aug 7 and he already weighs 15 lbs 13 oz! Actually maybe even a little more since it's been almost a week. He's in the 75th percentile for weight. He's 24 3/4 inches tall and his head is 16 1/2, he's right on track for those at the 50th percentile. Everything went well with his check up and his reflux has been doing better on the new meds. And he likes his new amby (hammock) bed. Man, I just realized the pics I took of him in it were lost too. I guess I'll have to take a couple new ones and post those later.

Ben and I both had our birthdays in the last week too. We didn't do anything too exciting, just went out to dinner and that sort of thing. Liam is pretty good in restaurants, thankfully.

And I just think this shirt is too cute because it has a koala just like his bedding. He's watching his soother, it doesn't help him get sleepy like it's supposed to but he does like to watch it so it buys me a few minutes here and there.
