Snowmageddon!

Sorry for the long delay between posts. We've been busy, had a couple colds and got buried in snow! In the last week, we've gotten about 4 feet of snow and they're forecasting more for next week. It's already the snowiest winter on record in Philadelphia, with more than 70 inches so far this year. I guess we brought the snow with us, they only got about 4 inches all last year. We also found some fun indoor places to play, which Liam thoroughly enjoyed. He loves slides and clearly remembers when he had a ball pit, I wish we had room for one now. He's getting so big, learning so many new things, including several new words, "fishie," Elmo," "meow," "uh oh," "shoes," "vroom," "gook" (aka book). He recognizes Elmo everywhere, even on his diapers, lol. He'll even watch a few minutes of sesame street as long as Elmo's on. He's starting to recognize colors, he gets it right maybe 75% of the time. And he will see a dog or cat and say woof or meow, or vroom when he sees a car. He loves balloons. He points at a lot of things he hasn't learned to say just yet. I think he's getting more settled because he's not so clingy at playgroup anymore. He loves to eat with a fork or spoon, will in fact demand one if you don't give him one. He still misses some but he's getting better. He can do some puzzles, especially if you do it with him a couple times first. He likes to help push the cart when we're at the store, no sitting in the cart for him. I still don't think we've hit the terrible twos yet but he's definitely more stubborn and adamant about what he wants and we have seen some temper tantrums when he doesn't get them. All in all, we think he's pretty cute.

Some fun playing outside
Is it just me, or does it look like he's thinking mischievous thoughts?
Like a little puppyChecking out a little snow
Now he's having fun!
And indoors in the play area at the mall
Can you tell how much he LOVES slides?
Everyone had better get out of his way!
Seeing if Mama will notice that he has ventured off the playground...
Trying to decide if he's ok with other kids playing too
My little poser
Apparently the ground was fascinating
Running around
Whoever though sitting could be so much fun?
Such a sweet face
More slide fun
You can never have too much slide fun
Not sure why but he thought this sign was pretty fun too
Trying to climb up the slide
Hmm...I think he was just trying to prevent others from enjoying his slide lol
Ok, mama, I guess I'll share
Showing off his head
And his hand
And his belly buttonIt's always fun to investigate snowPlaying on the easel Aunt Sherri and Uncle James got him for Christmas, he loves it! Thank you!
How many pieces of chalk can I hold at once?
"Drawing"
Fun at my gym
That ball is as big as he is!
Maybe he's pretending he's camping?
Gotta love a ball pit!
Mama, I never want to leave!
Going on the big slide, other kids bigger than he is were scared of it! Not him, he loved it. He's fearless I tell you. Bubbles!Jumping on the trampoline!Making a new friend
Oasis Family Fun Center
How does this work?
More slide fun! Did I mention he loves slides?
Making his way to go back down the slide
Telling someone to get out of his way!
Getting really close to mama's camera
There's a smile! Now he's trying to eat mommy's camera! Does that mean I should stop taking his picture? Nah!Then he noticed the arcade games...
And the lights, lol
Trying to ride the motorcycle
and play some games
Mama, where's my tokens?Snowmageddon!
What is this?
Hey, this is fun!
Ooohhhh
So much snow!
Wait! Is this stuff getting on me?
And falling on the ground?
Well, I guess it's ok
but it can't get in my eyes
The snow was way taller than Liam!
Fun in the snow with Dada and the doggies
Sydney wanted to eat some
Trying to go upstairs
Peekaboo! Can you see me?
Good thing Daddy shoveled on this would not be fun
More fun with Dada and the doggies
Trying to eat the snow
I think I like this thing you call snow
Trying to eat it some more
Mama got in on the fun
