In case you can't tell from the pictures below. Liam is a very active little boy. To keep him occupied during the winter weather, we went to lots of fun places. We went to the Delaware Museum of Natural History, Jumpers (a place with a room full of moon bounces), music class, chuck e cheese, the aqaurium and of course the usual playdates and other activities. Then the weather has finally warmed up and the snow has melted so we've been spending just about every day outside. Liam wakes up and wants to go outside before he has even had breakfast or changed out of his pj's. He points and says, yea? yea? (That's what he calls slides, I think because that's what you say when you go down one and you're having fun). We also drove by a park on a rainy day (otherwise I might have had to stop it was so cute) and he was like yea, yea, yea and then as we passed it only last very sad yea. We went back to that park this week so he could play and he of course had to go on the big kids slide (it was taller than me). Even after he fell from it (don't worry, not even a bruise), he still just kept going back for more. He even climbed up the little rock wall with ease. He is learning so much, since our last update he said I love mama (well, technically it was more like "a la mama" but it was clear what he meant so I'll take it :o)). He also will now try to repeat things you say, and you can actually understand him sometimes. Because of this he can say lots of new words. He likes to help clean up but you have to be careful because he sometimes puts things in the trash you might like to keep. He also likes to help daddy play the guitar or by "sharing," which is basically just bringing you random things, although he usually likes to get them back, lol. He will take a napkin and wipe his own face and likes to brush his own teeth. He likes to say potty and reads books about it and sit on his potty chair, but that's as close as we are to potty training right now. He can now really play leggos, taking them apart and putting them together, he even built a car and a tower. He can now unscrew caps to bottles so we have to be a lot more careful. We have to be more careful in general. One day when we went to lunch as I was gather our things to leave, Liam grabbed an entire packet of sugar from the table and ate it, paper and all! Fortunately it didn't seem to affect him, I was expecting a very hyper boy that afternoon, especially since he usually doesn't get things with much sugar. Man, he is quick! I also think he's had a growth spurt, he seems taller and more like a little boy to me and we had to buy him new shoes because his old ones were snug. I guess that's what happens when he's almost two!
Fun at the Delaware Natural History Museum

And yes, he does sometimes like to bring his blankie with him, although we usually try to save it for night night time

That bear is a little scary!

This room was his favorite part

And playing with this plastic blue curtain in the fishie area was his very favorite part of all

Who's that?

Look how big he's getting!

Bounce, bounce!

Of course, he had to try and go up the big kids slide, he didn't even want to go in the bounce house dedicated for little kids

Is he flirting? Uh oh, I am in so much trouble when he gets older!

Check out where Liam is. Of course, he's got to be right in the center of the action.

Shaking his tamborine

He's already got where the Chuck E Cheese tokens go down

Playing a little skeeball

And yes, he's cheating but I'm going to have to teach him that if you're going to cheat, at least be good at it, he kept putting the balls in the very bottom when he got up there, lol

Taking a ride with Chuck

Baby bowling

This was his favorite game, is it just me, or does this look like something his dada would like?

Flying in his helicopter

Riding the choo choo train

Another fun car ride

He even found a doggie friend and his nose, lol

Getting his groove on

Giddyup!

Showing off his hardwon spoils

But this big ball is pretty fun too

Mama made me wear this hat because it matches my sweater, argh, women!

Look mama, fishies!

Argh, mama, stop taking my picture and check out he fishies!

And this would be the exhibit where Liam tried to climb in (they really need a higher railing when an almost two year old can almost climb in) and when I wouldn't let him, he got mad and threw his blankie in! Fortunately I caught it quickly enough it did little more than scare the fishies and get a little damp.

We had to make a little souvenir of our trip

Looking at more fishies

He even got to touch the sting rays, with a little help from mama

You can imagine how much he loved this, fishies all lit up with lights

A relaxing way to view the shark tunnel

Our neighbors and buddies who took us to the aquarium, Coral, Emma, Sophia and Anna

We had to stop by the gift shop

He liked the penquin and the hippo, but had to pick just one. The hippo was too cute so we took him home.

Finally outside time! And yes, that's my cell phone, he thinks elmo lives on it (I sometimes let him watch elmo videos on it, ah the wonders of technology).

Picking up random stuff and handing it to mama, this happens all day long

What? You don't want your phone back do you?

Look over there!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Yea!

Taking a break

Off on glorious adventures

The fighting Irish, lol

Yea for spring!

He will probably kill me when he's older for dressing him in pants with a monkey face on the behind, lol

Perhaps a budding firefighter?

See ya later! We're going for a ride!
