It's hard to believe that Liam was due to be born 2 years ago today, although he arrived a little early on April 4. I guess he is officially not a baby anymore now that he is 2. I am excited for all the new things he is learning but also a little sad to see my baby so big. We've gone on lots of adventures this last month as you can see in the pictures below. He is working on recognizing letters and numbers, so far we've mastered the letter O and the number 2, lol. And he tries to sing the ABC song and comes pretty close. He loves to be outside and is very active. It's getting a little challenging to take him anywhere where he has to sit longer than a few minutes. He has mastered legos, especially building towers. He is getting pretty good at putting things together and taking them apart. He is getting a little better at following directions and brushing his teeth. And lots of other new things, he learns so much even in just one day. My favorite thing about being his mom are his big hugs, his grin and his laughter. I hope to enjoy them for many more years to come!
A hayride to go visit the Easter bunny

He did okay at first

But then realized he is NOT a fan of the giant bunny! Even if the bunny did hand out candy.

Thankfully the place we went also had one of his favorite things, slides!

And more favorites, trains!

And cars!

A visit to the children's water garden at Longwood Gardens

And a little fun roaming the gardens

He even found a sundial to investigate

And stomp on, of course!

An Easter egg hunt

Once he got the hang out easter egg hunting, he kept throwing his eggs back out of his basket so he could pick them up again :o)

His first haircut

A little pouty face, he wasn't so sure about this

But all in all, it seemed okay

The final product!

We went to an Sesame Street Live Elmo show, he was so excited he wouldn't nap but then fell asleep on the way there

Elmo!

His Easter basket

Of course he found the sweet stuff right away

I think he likes it!

Some more goodies

Everything is still a possible phone

He figured this out pretty quickly

One of the best parts of an Easter basket, making a mess with the grass

Poor doggie got a little decoration

And Liam got a hat!

Some outdoor Easter fun

Liam pointed out a few flowers

And a lady bug!

Talking to himself

And taking a little break

And along with some Easter treats, a little birthday cake! Yes, he was up late. :o)

Is this all for me?

Blowing out the candle

At first he was so much neater than last year

Then he thought the candle looked yummy

Or maybe he just wanted to make sure he got all the icing

Then things got a little messier

Enjoying some bday presents

He loves Elmo so much he gave him a big hug!

And a squeeze on the nose

Our first warm summer like day

And a couple more bday presents from the grandmas

Some fun at the park

And at a little birthday party with a few friends from playgroup

When we first got there he ran around shouting, YEA! YEA! YEA! and clapping

Daddy got in on the fun

And the lucky boy got MORE birthday cake!

Two candles to blow this year!

Do you think he enjoyed it?

Wow! Liam looks so tall! How are our boys growing up so fast??!?!?! It looks like his birthday was a hit! Glad you guys had a great time celebrating. Little Liam isn't so little anymore but he sure is handsome!
Hugs!
Liam it's amazing how fast you are growing. I'm so happy that you had lots of fun at both birthday parties! 2 for 2 :-) Your daddy and aunt Sharon had easter egg hunts at your great grandma Evelyn's. Ask your daddy about those some day. Your new Elmo is great! I bet you had a so much fun seeing Elmo in the show. Love you bunches and bunches, Grandma Sue
